Mr. Shen Yan served as Managing Director and co Head of Institutional Client Group for Asia at Deutsche Bank (DB), overseeing the institutional investment business of products including bonds, currencies, credit, funds, foreign exchange, commodities and structured equities.

In addition, he was a member of the Executive Committee of Deutsche Bank China, and actively advanced the bank’s strategic planning in China. He also held the position of Director at Sino-German Securities, a joint venture securities company of Deutsche Bank and Shanxi Securities.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2006, Mr. Yan was Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse (CS) in Hong Kong, and a member of the company’s Asia Pacific Operating Committee during this period. He worked at the New York and Hong Kong branches of Credit Suisse for more than a decade.

Mr. Yan launched his investment banking career by joining the headquarters of Lehman Brothers in New York in 1994. He holds a Master of Science in Finance from Baruch College. A dedicated philanthropist, he was the Founding Chairman of the Foundation and its Development Committee at Shanghai YK Pao Experimental School.
