Pedro is a Managing Director at KingsRock based in the London office with a diverse US and European background having worked in Investment Banking for over 22 years.
Pedro is focused on Private Credit and Real Assets origination and placement mandates utilizing KingsRock’s network of investor relationships as well as bring a focus on innovative structured solutions for capital raising.
Most recently he was a member of StormHarbour, LP - a global Investment Banking boutique - as a junior founding partner since 2009, where he was Managing Director focused on financing for Asset Backed and Direct Lending opportunities, namely SRT transactions and Real Assets portfolios in Shipping, Real Estate and Media. He was also very active in the European Peripheral Sovereign and Banking crisis, helping raise the Debt profile of some of the nations involved and providing insight for FDI and bringing investors unique first time post-crisis investments in Portugal, Spain and Greece.
His responsibilities included Coverage of Global Financial Institutions in the UK and in the US in a rapidly changing regulatory environment. Pedro analyzed and created markets in Structured Finance and Special Situations, worked on maiden Capital Markets transactions across the capital stack with innovative approaches tailored to client's requirements across asset classes.
Prior to Stormharbour, Pedro started his career in Banking at Citigroup (SSB), where he provided Strategic Advisory for Global Financial Institutions predominantly in Fixed Income Capital Markets, Derivatives and Structured Solutions transactions, specializing initially in Coverage of European Banks and Global Foreign Banks in London and then Citi's top Strategic Clients in New York on a number of landmark issues and capital solutions for Citi during the GFC.
Recent notable transactions include raising €250m Dry Bulk Shipping capital, several landmark Real Estate projects in Portugal and the UK and a large Macro Hedge Fund fee securitization transaction with a secondary share NAV discount facility.
Pedro graduated with a "Licenciatura" in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FCEE) with specialization in Business Cycle Econometrics followed by a Master's semester at Sorbonne in Paris.
Pedro is the proud father of 2 girls and loves to sail on occasion.
