Marcelo is an experienced professional with a demonstrated 35 year history of working in the financial services industry both at Public and Private sector. Skilled in capital raising, corporate finance, wealth management advisory and sovereign and corporate debt restructurings.

He served from 2016-2019 under President Macri’s administration as Secretary of Finance for the Province of Buenos Aires and as Undersecretary of Administration at Argentina’s Ministry of Energy.

From 2013-2016 he was a member of the Board of Pampa Energía (NYSE Ticker “Pampa”) the largest integrated Argentine electricity and gas company.

From 2000-2012 he worked at Deutsche Bank where he was CEO of Deutsche Bank Argentina (2008-2012) and Head of Latin America DCM and Sales from 2002-2008.

Marcelo resided more than 20 years in New York from 1987 to 2008 working for Chase, First Boston and UBS besides his role at Deutsche Bank always with a dedicated focus on Emerging Markets.

He holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of California and an Industrial Engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.

He currently resides in Buenos Aires where he runs his own financial consulting firm Lanin Financial Advisors.
