Leo is a Managing Director of KingsRock Advisors, based in Amsterdam Leo has over 35 years of experience in Investment Banking and the Global Capital Markets with expertise in origination, raising Debt & Equity, Private Placements, securitizations, structured capital solutions and complex M&A transactions. Spanning his career he has raised or realized over Euro600bn for his clients.

Leo has held various senior leadership positions at ING Group including Global Head of Primary Markets (ECM, DCM, Securitization, High Yield, Leverage Finance and Syndications), Global Head of Financial Institutions Strategic Origination & Capital Structuring and Advisory as well as being Head of the Global Underwriting Committee and part of the Management Team of Global Financial Markets.

In addition, Leo was intimately involved in the restructuring of ING Group following the financial crisis acting as advisor & principal, among others for the Euro 10bn rescue rights issue, sale of ING car lease, IPO of Voya & NN, sale of ING Real Estate Management and sale of ING Direct US/Canada/UK.

Furthermore, he established and ran the reciprocity book for ING Group requiring approval of all external mandates resulting in ING participating as Bookrunner in over 24 Rescue Rights issues for the European Financial Institutions as well as lifting ING to a top 5 European debt underwriter.

Prior to ING Leo worked for Salomon Brothers / Citigroup for 18 years ultimately as a Managing Director and heading DCM for Northern Europe. During his tenure he established many market firsts such as the first European 100 Year Yankee bond for ABN Amro, one of the largest corporate bond in history for France Telecom (Euro 16.5bn) and was instrumental in establishing and structuring the first innovative Hybrid Tier 1 Bank Capital transactions.

He started his career at Morgan Stanley in both M&A and DCM in London and New York.

He served as an AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe) Board member.

Most recently he acted as Partner for Bowline Capital Partners focused on raising growth capital, private debt and advising in M&A and MBO situations.

He lives in Amsterdam with his partner and two young sons.
