John has more than 30 years of real estate structured finance/investment banking and trading experience. John has raised over $10B of capital in the financial markets in the form of Equity and Debt for his clients while working for large global investment banks, insurance companies and specialty finance companies.

Investment Banker for 30 years at Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, ABN Amro, Finacity and EBG. At Merrill he was a senior member of the non-QM/RMBS group. Lead banker of more than$12B of RMBS/ABS deals.

At Bear Stearns he was the co-head of non-agency RMBS Group. Lead/Co-lead banker of more than $15B RMBS/ABS deals. He built the largest non-Agency RMBS prepayment and default models.

At ABN Amro he headed its RMBS securitization, structuring and non-Agency mortgage warehouse financing group. He was responsible for $20B of loan and securities trades, warehouse lines, swaps and new bond issuances.

At EBG he has been structuring mortgage risk transfers for domestic and international commercial banks as well as for non-QM specialty finance companies. He designed a series of Agency and non-QM RMBS agency pilot mortgage programs,coupled with R&W insurance protection. 

He was also responsible for credit risk valuations of several real estate loan portfolios of several specialty finance companies and banks. He designed new non-QM mortgage origination, acquisition and financing strategies using Blockchain for hedge funds, insurance companies, private equity firms and specialty finance companies.

He also worked on HEI portfolio valuations, as well as in fundraising Equity and Debt for a HEI originator.
