Hussain Qaragholi is a senior advisor with nearly 20 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking.

Hussain is consultant to the International Finance Corporation’s Upstream Infrastructure Group – the World Bank Group’s private sector arm – for the Middle East, Central Asia and Turkey (MCT).   He works with IFC’s international and regional clients on Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Healthcare, Construction and Financial Institutions projects in the MCT region.

He joined the IFC from Deutsche Bank, where he was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Coverage for the Middle East.  He managed an international team and a global client portfolio composed of sovereigns, sovereign wealth funds, national oil companies, top-tier local corporates, and UHNW family offices.

Hussain has a background in capital markets, liability management, structured trade finance, and natural resources-based lending.  He excels in business-government relations where he maintains connectivity and access to key decision makers in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

Hussain graduated cum laude in International Relations from The College of William and Mary.  He has a Master’s Degree from the School of Foreign Service, as well as an MBA from Georgetown University.  He holds a FinTech Programme Certificate from Oxford University’s Said School of Business.

Hussain lives in London with his wife and three children.
