Bruce McDermott is a Senior Advisor to KingsRock Advisors. Bruce has over four decades of experience providing corporate advisory services and capital strategies to corporations, institutions, and ultra-high-net-worth investors.

Bruce spent the majority of his career at Deutsche Bank and predecessor firms Bankers Trust Company and Alex. Brown & Sons, where he held a series of senior roles across institutional equity sales, Equity Capital Markets, and Equity Research. In Equity Capital Markets he supported equity issuance mandates across the Consumer, Financial Services, Industrials, Transportation, and Real Estate sectors, and participated in equity presentations to major private equity sponsors including Blackstone, KKR, Hicks Muse, Odyssey Partners, and Apollo during the formative years of sponsor-led buyouts. As Associate Director of Equity Research at BT Alex. Brown, he oversaw analyst teams across five sectors and recruited multiple Institutional Investor all-star analysts. He later led product management and solutions for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in the Americas, directing a team of over one hundred capital markets professionals serving ultra-high-net-worth families across traditional and alternative asset classes.

Since 2006, Bruce has specialized in the origination, structuring, syndication, and distribution of exempt direct private placements to UHNW families, endowments, and foundations, originating more than seventy equity transactions and raising over $10 billion in total capital. Notable mandates include the sale of the island of Lanai, Hawaii; a $150 million-plus equity raise for a startup marina consolidator later acquired by private equity; and seed capital for an FDIC-assisted bank transaction that grew into the fourth-largest commercial bank in Florida.

Bruce is also Managing Partner of Wellington Row Capital and a former Director of Deutsche Bank Trust Company, N.A. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Monmouth University and is based in New York.

Bruce has FINRA registrations Series 7,9,10,24,63,65 & 79 and is a NY DFS Life and Health agent.
